The Hudson Valley teen who holds the world record for solving a Rubik's Cube with his feet is making news again.

Daniel Rose-Levine from Red Hook can solve the Rubik's Cube in just 16.9 seconds by using his feet and toes. Daniel accomplished the world record winning "feat" last summer.

After hearing about it, we just had to invite Daniel into the studio to show off his skills for us.

Daniel explained that he first got interested in solving Rubik's Cube about four years ago when a friend at camp introduced him to the puzzle. After watching tutorials on how to solve the cube, he was hooked. The young student has since memorized thousands of algorithms and patterns that he intuitively uses to solve the puzzle in seconds.

Now, Daniel is sharing all of his mathematical knowledge with the world. During a recent event at the National Museum of Math, Daniel spoke about the mathematical secrets behind solving the cube. Appearing on PIX 11 News, Daniel showed off his cube-solving skills once again and discussed the importance of math in his life.

Daniel continues to compete in Rubik's Cube competitions across the country.
