Police: Amenia Man Arrested for Rape and Criminal Sex Act
The man is currently being held in Dutchess County Jail without bail.
On January 19, 2018, troopers received a complaint from a victim of rape.
Investigators launched an investigation which determined that Cresson T. Horton, 34, of Amenia forced the victim to perform sexual acts. The victim was familiar with Horton.
Horton was arrested and charged with Rape first-degree, and Criminal Sexual Act first-degree, both Class B felonies.
Horton was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail.
A full Order of Protection was issued by the court on behalf of the victim.
