A Burial Tomb in the Hudson Valley is Being Sold By Its Owner
If you're looking for a good deal on a local burial crypt, you may want to head over to Ebay right now.
Just when I thought I've seen everything, a listing for a tomb in the Hudson Valley pops up during a recent Ebay search. That's right, the auction website includes a listing for a mausoleum crypt right in our neighborhood.
A burial plot at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery is listed for $3,500, a price that the seller says is cheaper than the current going rate. I wasn't able to confirm that claim since pricing isn't listed on the cemetery's website, but I guess I'll take their word for it.
The ad contains all of the specifics of the crypt, including its exact location so you can stop by and check out your "neighbors" before buying.
Mausoleum is in a beautiful setting at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie NY 12602. Building #1, Section D, Crypt 16, Row C. Please feel free to visit the site. Asking price is below current rate at cemetery.
If't not clear why this person decided to sell their spot in the mausoleum. Perhaps they are moving to another country or maybe they've secretly developed a potion that gives them immortality. Whatever the reason, their loss is your gain.
If you're interested in the crypt, it's not being put up for auction. Instead the "Buy It Now" price is firmly set at $3,500. There is no option to make a lower offer, but the good news is there's no shipping fee. It's listed as "free local pickup."
Here's a link to the Ebay listing if you, or someone you know, may be interested.
