It's officially Fall in the Hudson valley. Sure, there will be pumpkins to pick, but right now it's all about the apples. And if you love apples, then you might just want to head to Esopus in Ulster County this Saturday.

This Saturday, Sept. 28, it's the 2019 Esopus Apple Festival from 8 am - 3 pm at the Town of Esopus United Methodist Church 151 Main Street in Port Ewen. The church will hold its 49th annual Apple Festival. There will be apple pancakes, homemade apple pies, apple cider, baked goods, fried dough, sausage-and-peppers, hamburgers, hot dogs, along with an array of beautiful handmade crafts. And the best part? Admission is free.

Plus, Esopus will be holding a town wide yard sale. This sounds like a perfect autumn Saturday afternoon that the whole family can enjoy. Following the Apple Festival, the Town of Esopus will be hosting a Family Fun Night in Ross Park. Talk with local businesses, enjoy food trucks and a movie outdoors.
