Sometimes I have an awful thought. What if today's kids get so involved in digital screens that books become a thing of the past? That would be horrible. Which is why I was so happy to find out about the Sullivan County Youth Book Festival this Saturday, May 25, from 10 am - 3:30 pm at the Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library on Broadway in Monticello.

The Youth Book Festival will have authors, books, readings, musical entertainment with The Uncle Brothers Band, a doodle and drawing workshop, character meet and greets, craft tables, face painting, a story walk and a story garden, a cross country reading challenge, and more. Children's and teen authors will also be on hand signing their books. It sounds like a perfect day for both kids and adults.
