Poughkeepsie Shooting Victim Dies in Hospital
The 28-year old man who suffered a gunshot to the head last week in the City of Poughkeepsie has passed away as a result of his wounds.
On February 4, two individuals were shot in the area of South Cherry and Church Streets in the city of Poughkeepsie. Responding officers found a 28-year old victim with a gunshot to the head.
The victim was transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center where he was placed on life support in ICU. On February 8, the victim identified as Shaheed James was removed from life support.
His autopsy was conducted Saturday. He died of a gunshot wound to the head.
There was an arrest made in connected to this shooting. On February 5, a 15-year old City of Poughkeepsie resident was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
There is no information in regards to an update to the charges as of right now.
