Teen Charged With Attempted Murder in Poughkeepsie Shooting
A 15-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident has been charged with attempted murder following Monday's shooting on South Cherry Street.
On Monday afternoon, two individuals were shot in the area of South Cherry and Church Streets. Responding officers found a 28-year old victim with a gunshot to the head.
Another victim, a 41-year old, was transported in a private vehicle to the hospital. He suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. He was walking down the sidewalk and was an innocent bystander.
The 28-year-old victim suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head. He is in critical condition in the ICU on life support.
On Tuesday, at approximately 2:00 pm, police arrested a 15-year old City of Poughkeepsie resident on a charge of second-degree attempted murder.
