For residents of the Hudson Valley, Poughkeepsie is the place we all call home.  But for Today Show hosts Kathie Lee and Hoda, the word "Poughkeepsie" takes on a whole new, R-rated meaning.

You'll have to forgive me for not hearing about this until now.  I'm not a huge fan of Kathie Lee and Hoda and don't usually pay attention to anything about their show.  Frequent viewers, however, may already know that the day-drinking TV duo have been using the word "Poughkeepsie" as a euphemism for "orgasm".   In the clip below they explain what Poughkeepsie means to them:

For those of you who are new viewers... Poughkeepsie is not just a city in a state... Poughkeepsie is a state of mind... and I would say ecstasy.... It's like a sneeze for your entire body.

In the same clip, they go on to discuss an article in Cosmo magazine about how long it takes women to "get to Poughkeepsie."  They discuss how some people "go to Poughkeepsie" alone, while some "go to Poughkeepsie" by themselves.  Therefore, the length of time it takes for women "arrive in Poughkeepsie" may vary.  Watching the clip is actually quite humorous, if only for the amount of times the word "Poughkeepsie" is uttered in just under 3 minutes.

So watch the clip below and let us know what you think.  Do you find it funny? Or is it insulting to residents of Poughkeepsie?
