The Dutchess County Fair is a tradition for thousands of Hudson Valley families. Each year there’s food, fun, entertainment, exhibits, animals, and more to see and enjoy. With the fair only a month away, it's time to plan where and when you'll be at the fair.

Here’s the basic info you need, the Dutchess County Fair opens Tuesday, August 22 and will run until Sunday, August 27. The fair is open from 10 to 10 each day and everything goes on rain or shine. Admission to the fair is $15 for adults with children under 12 admitted free.

You can also save yourself some money on special days during the fair; Tuesday admission is only $10 per adult, Wednesday you can purchase a wrist band and ride as many rides as you want for only $25, and on Thursday admission is only $7 after 5 pm. Seniors and Military with ID are $10 every day and parking is free.

The Grandstand schedule looks good again this year! Three Doors Down will open the fair Tuesday night, advanced tickets $25; Wednesday-The Wolf presents The Brothers Osborne at 7:30, advanced tickets $20; Thursday’s entertainment is a free show featuring The Marshall Tucker Band at 7:30; and on Friday, don't miss Old Crow Medicine Show at 7:30, advanced tickets $20. On Saturday and Sunday, don’t miss the Brigade Action Sports Extreme with shows at 1 and 6 each day and tickets $5 per person with children under 5 free.
