This must have been terrifying.

ABC is reporting that two terminals had to be shut down at JFK Airport Sunday night after reports of an active shooter.

The first call came around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, when Port Authority Police received a call of shots fired at JFK's departures area in Terminal 8.

The good news is that reports proved false, however the ordeal surely terrified airport goers as witnessed in the video.

One witness, Navy SEAL Brandon Webb, said that security guards started yelling 'Active shooter', which sent everyone into a panic.

It was just complete chaos at this point. People crying. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. The police seemed calm, but it seemed like they didn't know what to do.

The NYPS confirmed that the terminal had been cleared after midnight with no shots fired.

The chaos did not end there, as another call of shots fired shut down Terminal 1 at JFK and a nearby highway, the Van Wyck Expressway. The Port Authority said in a follow up statement:

Preliminary investigation does not indicate shots were fired at JFK. There are no injuries. At this time, no gun shells or other evidence of shots fired has been found. The terminal was evacuated out of an abundance of caution.

Officials are investigating.
