Today is Record Store Day! Take some time and shop your local record stores to celebrate - you never know what you'll find! Record Store Day was first thought of back in 2007 as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores around the world.

Lots of special releases on vinyl and CD, as well as many promotional products are made exclusively to celebrate Record Store Day. Some stores even have in-store artist appearances and performances, cook-outs, and much more!  Record Store Day is now celebrated the third Saturday every April. Some of the area record stores in the Hudson Valley include Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie, Rock Fantasy in Middletown, and Rhino Records in New Paltz. Happy shopping!
