The line between movie theater and concert venue is about to get very blurry.

AMC Theatres just announced a brand-new live entertainment concept called “Arena One at AMC,” a nationwide shared concert experience launching in June 2026.

The idea? Bring live performances into more than 300 AMC theaters across the country and make audiences feel like they’re part of the actual show…without ever stepping into an arena.

And no, this isn’t just another concert movie.

According to AMC and Arena One, artists will perform live from a specially designed stage while audiences inside theaters nationwide "connect in real time through interactive technology."

The system is designed to feed crowd reactions and audience energy back to the performers during the show, creating something closer to a live concert than a traditional movie screening.

“We built a cinematic stage optimized to translate seamlessly to cinemas, but artists are defining what it becomes,” said Peter Hamilton, CEO of Arena One. “They’re not adapting tours; they’re building something new. That’s when a medium sparks reinvention.”

Basically: part concert, part livestream, part giant karaoke party.

The first announced performers include:

  • Bebe Rexha on June 17
  • Paris Hilton on June 18
  • Kim Petras on June 19
  • Maren Morris on June 20

Ticket prices are expected to range roughly between $40 and $75 depending on the event and the area.

Movie theaters have spent the last few years trying to evolve beyond traditional film releases as streaming services and changing audience habits reshape the entertainment world. Concert films, live sports screenings, fan events, and specialty experiences have all become bigger priorities for theaters trying to bring crowds back.

And honestly? The success of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie probably changed everything. The film became a global phenomenon and proved audiences are willing to treat theaters like live-event destinations instead of just movie houses.

When you think about it- between the recliner seats, giant sound systems, and butter-soaked popcorn- AMC may have created something genius.
