Police Say Drunken Cupcake Burglar Found Coated in Frosting

Sometimes, suspects make it very easy for police to find them.

This was the case in Alpena, MI when a burglary suspect allegedly broke into a house, and drunkenly stumbled into a tray of cupcakes and other items. The homeowner heard all the commotion and then found an unknown woman inside the house. Once discovered, the woman quickly ran from the scene

She wouldn't get too far though, as Alpena Police and Michigan State Troopers found the suspect a couple of blocks away, drunk, covered in cake and frosting.

Alpena Police had responded early Sunday, October 18, to a report of a possible breaking and entering of a house nearby. The homeowner reported that a tray of cupcakes and several other items had been knocked over and broken.

A police report said that the suspect was described as "highly intoxicated and had cupcake frosting and cake all over her torso and legs".

Alpena police said that the woman was taken to the Alpena County Jail on charges of unlawful entry and malicious destruction of property.
