Pic of Dog Being Transported in HV Sparks Outrage
A driver in the Hudson Valley snapped a quick photo of a dog being transported on the back of a trailer and it's got many dog owners in the Hudson Valley livid.
Dogs are supposed to be a man's best friend. Often times they are treated that way but unfortunately, that's not always the case.
This morning a Hudson Valley resident allegedly captured the photo above while stuck in traffic on I-84 Eastbound near the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.
The dog is in a cage that appears to be strapped on a flatbed trailer under a tractor. Animal transportation laws vary from state to state. In many states, dogs can be in cages in the bed of a truck if the tailgate is locked.
Is this legal or is it a form of animal abuse?
