NYC Subways Sanitized Over Coronavirus Fears

All New York City subways recently got a deep clean to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. For more information about the coronavirus, the CDC has provided resources through the button below.

The New York Daily News reports that the MTA has been forced to completely disinfect the subway system in New York City. Employees are using bleach and hospital-grade disinfectant. This is so the entire 6,400 subway car system and 5,700 buses will be sanitized to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. The plan is that all the subway cars and buses will be sanitized every three days. Each subway station will also be cleaned each night until the virus is contained.

The first case of coronavirus was confirmed in New York State recently. Closer to home, a case of the coronavirus was confirmed in the lower Hudson Valley in Westchester. A person in New Rochelle was diagnosed and then quarantined.
