A Hudson Valley congressman is on the line after losing a bet with a fellow politician. Luckily, a local brewery has agreed to bail him out.

On Saturday, Army and Navy continued their long football rivalry when they met at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. Congressman Pat Ryan was convinced that Army would be victorious, so he placed a friendly wager with his fellow member of the House, Chris Deluzio. While Iraq veteran, Ryan is a proud Army Vet and graduate of West Point, Deluzio attended the Naval Academy before serving in Iraq.

The friendly rivalry between Ryan and Deluzio turned a bit ugly when the Pennsylvania Congressman looped a video of an unfortunate flub from Ryan where he mistakenly said "Beat Army" during an interview on CNN.

Of course, we all know that Army wound up losing to Navy 31 to 13. So now, the representative of Pennsylvania's 17th district is patiently waiting for his beer to arrive.

Newburgh Brewing Company has come to the aid of Ryan, who is still licking his wounds. In an Instagram post, the brewery reassured the congressman by telling him "Don’t worry Congressman Ryan, we got you."

Even though the staff at Newburgh Brewing Company are Army fans themselves, they told Congressman DeLuzio that "a bet is a bet" and confirmed that some of the brewerey's best beers are on their way to Pennsylvania.

Congressman Chris DeLuzio, we hope you like MegaBoss IPA. Heading your way with some Cream Ale and Brown Ale too.

The brewery ended its response to the wager with a defiant "GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY".

Army fans will have a chance to see the team redeem themselves on December 28 when they take on Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl.
