Business is good for Hudson Valley popcorn chip makers PopCorners. So much so that they're planning a $3.5 million expansion of their Middletown factory. According to the Times Herald-Record, the plan is to add two production lines at the plant which will help satisfy the increasing demand for their product.

PopCorners are popcorn flavored chips and come in seven different varieties. The chips are made by parent company BFY Brands and in addition to the factory expansion the company is planning to add 7,000 square feet of warehouse space. Even with the additional space, company CEO Paul Nardone expects to need an additional 70,000 square feet of warehouse space in the near future. Nardone expects the company to build or purchase the additional space somewhere in Orange County.

It is a time of tremendous growth for the company as the Times Herald-Record reports sales are expected to increase to $150 million this year, up from $110 million in 2018.
