Man Charged in Hit-And-Run That Left Bicyclist Critically Injured
An 84-year old man was arrested for a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist critically injured.
On October 17 at approximately 11:00 a.m. a hit-and-run occurred at the intersection of Craigville Road and Hasbrouck Road in the Town of Goshen. The bicyclist was struck by a Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
The bicyclist, identified as Brendan Dwyer, age 51, of Monroe, N.Y. suffered multiple fractures to his body. He was transported top Orange Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
On October 23, State Police Monroe arrested Louis Riso, age 84 of Goshen, N.Y. for the hit-and-run that occured on October 17. Riso turned himself into police at the Monroe barracks.
Riso is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, a felony. He is scheduled to return to court next week.
