A weekend motorcycle crash has resulted in the death of a 59-year-old man from Millbrook, NY.

Using extra caution will hopefully avoid tragedies similar to what happened in Dutchess County, NY, on Saturday.

Motorcycle Accident in Pleasant Valley, NY

According to the New York State Police, a tragic motorcycle accident has claimed the life of a 59-year-old man from Millbrook on Saturday. Police said that on March 14, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m., troopers from Poughkeepsie were called to respond to a reported head-on motor vehicle crash involving a three-wheeled motorcycle in the area of Salt Point Turnpike and Van Wagner Road in the town of Pleasant Valley, NY.

Upon arrival, State Police officials began a preliminary investigation, which revealed that a 2025 Can-Am Spyder motorcycle, operated by 59-year-old William G. Coulston, 59, of Millbrook, NY, was traveling westbound on Salt Point Turnpike when it crossed the double yellow center line and struck a Mercedes-Benz head-on.

Dutchess County Man Dies in Tragic Accident

Coulston was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Police didn't identify the occupants of the Mercedes, but they did say that none were injured in the accident.
