Hurley Heritage Society to Host Annual Ghost Walk
Halloween fun on October 25th will have a historic twist at the Hurley Heritage Society Ghost Walk. All are welcome but the tour isn't really recommended for young children. Once again the Hurley Heritage Society invited you on their famous Ghost Walk with tours start on October 25th at 6:15 PM and running through 8:55 PM. Come along to hear tales of spirits from long ago and visit the Old Burial Ground.
You must have reservations, no walk-ups will be admitted. Groups are limited to ten people and the slots fill up fast so if you want to go be sure to make your reservations soon. To reserve space, call 845-338-7686. Unfortunately, this is not a handicap accessible event. Also please note that there will be uneven parts of the ground during the tour so bring a flashlight and wear appropriate footwear. The tours gather at the Hurley reform Church Hall at 11 Main Street in Hurley.
So what should you expect on your guide Ghost Walk? The events depicted on the Ghost Walk are based on Hurley's historical events. Their are primary documents, oral accounts and tales of Hurley legend and lore. If you have taken the tour in the past be prepared for some new ghostly additions this year.
