Hudson Valley Man Killed, Child Injured in Tragic Upstate Crash
A Hudson Valley man died this weekend and a young boy is in critical condition as the result of a head-on collision between a car and a tractor-trailer.
The Watertown Daily Times reports that Terence B. Gamble from Wappingers Falls was killed after swerving into the path of a tractor-trailer. According to police, the 44-year-old Hudson Valley man was driving his 2008 Honda Civic on Route 12 in Martinsburg, just outside of Watertown, on Sunday when the incident occurred.
The New York State Police say that Gamble was pronounced dead at the scene. A nine-year-old passenger, identified as Lukas E. Gamble from Danbury was also riding in the Wappingers man's car. The child was critically injured and airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He is still listed in critical condition.
The driver of the Peterbilt tractor-trailer was not injured in the crash and his identity has not been released by police. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
