A Hyde Park man has been convicted on charges of child pornography and will serve up to 7 years in jail.

According to a news release from Dutchess County Court Judge Stephen Greller, Michael Cerasaro admitted that he had a video of a sexual act performed by a female child. This disturbing act violated the 62-year old's probation. He was on probation for "attempted dissemination of indecent materials to minors."

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports, Cerasaro was arrested in July. State police seized his computer and found two images of child pornography. Police took the computer after they were told of the Hyde Park man’s probation violation by Dutchess County Probation.

Cerasaro was handed down two consecutive sentences, which will be served back to back. He received 2-to-4 years for possessing a sexual performance by a child, and a 1-to-3-year sentence for violating probation. He will serve a minimum of 3 years in prison and a maximum of seven.

He was also fined $1,425.
