A local man is behind bars after police say they found him driving his lawnmower drunk down a busy Hudson Valley road.

Hong Luong from Saugerties was charged with felony DWI after police pulled him over on his zero-turn riding mower on Saturday. The Times Herald Record reports that Luong was riding the mower down Route 9W when a Stop DWI patrol car just happened to be driving by and took notice of him.

After pulling over the lawnmower, police say they found out that Luong had been previously convicted of felony DWI in the past 10 years and currently has a suspended license.

Luong was arrested and charged with felony DWI. He is also facing charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, as well as five other traffic violations.

Last summer a Clinton Corners man made local headlines after police say he drove his ATV drunk to the Roadhouse in Pleasant Valley. Maybe it's time Uber expanded its service to the Hudson Valley.
