Be a Volunteer For Friends of Poughkeepsie Library Bookstore

Do you love to read? Do you want to encourage others to read? Are you afraid that reading books is becoming a lost past time? If your answer is yes, then this might just be the perfect opportunity for you. The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District Book Store at 141 Boardman Road in Poughkeepsie is looking for Volunteers to work in the Book Store and also to help out at the annual Holiday Book Sale in November. Which will be here before you know it.

Volunteer activities include sorting and packing their large inventory of donated books, shelving books, and being a cashier or a member of the floor staff during store hours. Shifts are typically only 2 hours long and there are many time slots choose from.

If you are interested in volunteering at The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District Book Store, please fill out this questionnaire and stop by the Friends’ Bookstore and speak with the manager. The Book Store is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm.
