90’s Rockers Sponge Set to Rock Annual Foodstock Benefit
Sponge led by frontman Vinnie Dombroski will play the annual Foodstock benefit concert this Saturday, Nov. 18 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie. Doors at 5, showtime 6pm.
Sponge signed to Sony Records in 1994 and made a big splash on the rock scene with their debut album Rotting Pinata and the hit single "Plowed". The annual Foodstock concert helps out the Foodbank of the Hudson Valley and the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie. Come out and support a great cause and a great, diverse lineup of band's. In addition to Sponge, other band's performing include Capital Region area rockers Sirsy, Ruth Ruth, Snaphammer, Rachael Hendricks, Story Charlemagne and DJ Joey Hernandez. This the 10th annual event and it's always a lot of fun with lots of raffles and giveaways.
