Yes, the Eggs at Hudson Valley ShopRites Are Different

You're not imagining things: the eggs at ShopRites across the Hudson Valley are decidedly different. Well, at least the packaging is. The regional grocer unveiled a completely new look for their egg cartons on social media on Monday with the tagline, "Same Eggs. New Look."

The grocery chain in changing the name of their ShopRite brand line of products to "bowl & basket." ShopRite first unveiled the brand shift with an announcement about a change in the look of their milk cartons back in November 2019. The bowl & basket design notably removes the ShopRite logo in favor of a simple "A Shoprite Brand" designation above the new brand name, which is stylized in lower case.

The cartons may look different, but the eggs themselves are the same product, ShopRite said.

ShopRite's locations in the Hudson Valley include stores in Chester, Ellenville, Fishkill, Kingston, Liberty, Middletown, Montgomery, New Paltz, Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Wallkill and Warwick.
