The Metal Box is a weekly web series posted each Friday where we discuss all things hard rock and heavy metal: news, videos, interviews, live concerts and more.

This week, we talk about Skid Row appearing at the Townsquare Media Bacon & Brew Fest in Danbury, CT this weekend. The event takes place on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 3-9pm. Watch video above for all the info. Skid Row formed out of Toms River, NJ back in 1986. The band was very successful during the late 80’s and early 90’s. During this time, the band released two multi-platinum albums with the lineup of Rachel Bolan (bass), Sebastian Bach (vocals), Dave “Snake” Sabo (guitar), Scotti Hill (guitar), and Rob Affuso (drums). Skid Row has sold 20 million albums worldwide. Most recently, Tony Harnell (ex singer of TNT ) was on vocals. He had been announced as new lead singer in April of 2015 but that would be short lived. ZP Theart (ex singer for metal band DragonForce had been covering vocal duties after Harnell’s departure, and after about a year was officially announced as the new frontman for Skid Row.
