Wouldn't you know it? After a winter where most of the Hudson Valley was spared any sort of significant snowfall, we finally get the snow in April.

Most of the snow across the area was just some slushy accumulation that stuck to the grass. Forecasters, however, say that ,ore could be on the way accompanied by record low temperatures.

Sunday's high should reach around 40 F which should melt most of last night's snow, but a strong gusty winds will push wind chill factors down in the teens. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Hudson Valley for Sunday, with some gusts reaching nearly 50 mph. This could bring down tree limbs and cause power outages in some areas.

We're not done there.

Meteorologists say that temperatures tonight could reach down in the mid to lower 20s with the threat of more snow. Skies should clear by Monday afternoon with temperatures dipping down into the teens by Monday night.

Monday's low is expected to range from 22 F to 19 F across the Valley. The all-time record low for Poughkeepsie for April 4 was 17 F, set in 1964.
