The 7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep

I always say one of the best things about living in Poughkeepsie is the river. It's one of the best things about living anywhere here in the Hudson Valley. The mighty Hudson. We enjoy it every day, so it's up to us to help keep it's surroundings clean. And that's exactly what's happening this Saturday in Poughkeepsie.

Join Dutchess Outreach and Riverkeeper for a shoreline cleanup of Poughkeepsie’s Waryas Park this Saturday, May 5, from 9 am - 12 noon for the 7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River. Volunteers will meet at the shoreline in front of the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum parking lot. All volunteers should wear sturdy shoes or boots, and clothing that they can get dirty. Also bring a hat, a reusable water bottle, and snacks. The event suitable for elementary aged children with proper adult supervision.
