State of Emergency Extended in Sullivan County

Sullivan County Manager Josh Potosek has extended the state of emergency in parts of Sullivan County through 5:00 p.m. Friday.

Due to the ongoing impacts of Tuesday's severe storms, the state of emergency has been extended in certain parts of Sullivan County including:  Bethel, Cochecton, Forestburgh, Highland and Tusten.

The state of emergency was extended in theses townships because of the ongoing impacts of downed limbs and wires. Some of these areas may not see power restored until Sundayor even later.

There are no travel rescritions associated with this state of emergency, but people are asked to use caution and refrain from unneccessary travel in affected areas.

Dry ice and bottled will be available, as long as supplies last.
