Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Hudson Valley
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of New York state, including the Hudson Valley, New York City, long Island, and Southern Tier.
The watch goes until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. The counties under the watch include:
ALBANY BRONX BROOME CHENANGO COLUMBIA DELAWARE DUTCHESS FULTON GREENE KINGS MONTGOMERY NASSAU NEW YORK ORANGE OTSEGO PUTNAM QUEENS RENSSELAER RICHMOND ROCKLAND SARATOGA SCHENECTADY SCHOHARIE SUFFOLK SULLIVAN ULSTER WARREN WASHINGTON WESTCHESTER
Flooding rain, hail, and damaging winds are a possibility across the area. And while not likely, tornadoes are also possible as the storms move in.
