Rollover Crash Closes Route 55 For 5 Hours, Police Say
The rollover crash occurred at 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning on State Route 55 in the area of Spy Hill, injuring two individuals.
A 2013 Hyundai Elantra was traveling west on Route 55 when it veered off the roadway, striking two trees before rolling over. The two occupants, a 27-year old man from the City of Poughkeepsie, and a 25-year old woman from Wingdale, N.Y. suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
Both individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The westbound lanes of Route 55 were closed during the investigation, and eastbound traffic was limited to one lane. All lanes of State Route 55 reopened to traffic at approximately 12:00 p.m.
