Poughkeepsie Raceway Opening Soon
Racing is back in Dutchess County.
If you are a fan of cart racing, get excited because according to a recent Facebook post, the Poughkeepsie Raceway is getting ready to open back up for 2020.
The 1/5th of a mile track is located at Page Park Drive off of Route 55 in Poughkeepsie and is set to begin racing again in April. According to Facebook, the folks behind the reopening have announced that they are set to open on Saturday April 18th with a meet and greet. While your there you can also give a helping hand with preparations for the season and take a look at the facilities.
Then on Sunday April 19th they will have their first open practice day from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. with all classes welcome. On Saturday April 26th they will have another open practice from 9 a.m. til 4 p.m.
The first full day of races will be on Sunday April 27th with gates opening at 8 a.m. and as they announce more of their schedule and plans at the track, we will keep you up to date here.
