A Hudson Valley man is in jail without bail for allegedly using a fake ID to steal $7,300 from bank accounts.

On Tuesday, New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Samuel J. Sicoli, 49, of Liberty, NY, for identity theft and grand larceny, both felonies.

On June 7, 2018, State Police investigators received a complaint of a possible larceny from corporate bank accounts totaling $7,300. An investigation found Sicoli used false identification to access and steal the money from the Keybank accounts, police say.

Sicoli was arraigned before the town Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County without bail. Sicoli is next scheduled to appear before the Court on July 16, 2018.
