Pets Alive is a no kill animal rescue in Middletown. Their mission is to improve the lives of companion pets through rescue, adoption, advocacy, collaboration and education. It's a fine organization, and they are holding their signature fundraising event of the year this weekend.

The Harvest of Hope Fundraiser for Pets Alive is this Saturday, Oct. 5, from 6PM - 10PM at the Country Club at Otterkill on Otter Road in Campbell Hall. The goal this year is to raise $25,000 for the animals. It is an evening of great food, raffles and a silent auction, music and dancing, awards and Tarot card readings by frank the Tarot Guy. There will be a cocktail hour featuring hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and a gourmet dinner. The theme is autumn and dress is semi-formal in your favorite fall colors, or just wear your favorite outfit.
