Mother Says Zipper Was Hidden In Pie Bought at New York State Walmart
A 10 year-old girl is very lucky after she choked on what appears to be a zipper, according to her mother. And the strangest part about all this is where the zipper was allegedly found. The mother, Kelly Marek, says the zipper was found inside a miniature apple pie which she bought at a Walmart in Utica.
Marek told out sister station Big Frog 104 that her 10 year-old daughter began choking on the zipper when she was eating the pie. Marek performed the Heimlich maneuver and was fortunately able to save the girl. She then called the Walmart.
II was told they were going to take the pies off the shelves, call the main office and then call me right back. They never did call me back and they didn’t take them off the shelf either. We don’t want anyone else to get hurt.
Syracuse.com reports that Marek did hear from Table Talk Pies, who manufactures of the pies. Table Talk is located out of Worcester, Massachusetts.
