Our law enforcement officers here in the Hudson Valley put their life on the line every time they go to work. There's no way of knowing what the day may have in store for them. It could be a quiet, relatively normal work shift or it could be the shift where everything that can go wrong, does.

When things go wrong for law enforcement personnel, they can often tragically turn fatal in a matter of moments.

For those officers in Orange County who have made the ultimate sacrifice, the 2017 Orange County Law Enforcement Memorial Service will be held on to not only honor their service but also their families and loved ones they've left behind. The names of the fallen officers will be enshrined on the two memorial walls located outside of the Orange County Courthouse in Goshen.

According to the Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler and Michael McGinn, the President of the Fraternal Order of Police Jason Conklin Memorial Lodge #957; the services will be held at the entrance to the courthouse on Friday, May 5 at 6 pm and are expected to last an hour. Everyone is welcome to attend and to pay their respects for our fallen heroes and their families.
