A man who's suspected of killing his roommate and dumping the body on the side of the road was arrested in the Hudson Valley.

According to The Daily Progress, the body of 23-year-old Terell Bailey was found by a man who went out to check his mail on June 22 in Virginia. Investigators quickly turned their attention toward Bailey's roommate, Anthony Johnny Davenport, who was already facing other charges for allegedly beating another roommate with a baseball bat.

Authorities in Virginia had to work quickly to find Davenport before news of Bailey's discovery hit the news. Investigators believed that the suspect would flee if he knew they thought he was suspected of murdering his roommate. The U.S. Marshals Service helped authorities find Davenport, eventually tracking him down in the Hudson Valley.

The 25-year-old man was staying with relatives in Poughkeepsie when he was arrested and charged with the previous beating on June 6. Now that he's in custody and headed back to Virginia where he will be charged with murder. Investigators are gathering more evidence in hopes of bolstering their case against Davenport. Local residents in Virginia are asked to come forward with any information they have about Bailey's death.
