This morning Boris and Robyn talked with Kari Byron from Mythbusters about this year's Punkin Chunkin competition, being broadcast on the Science Channel Thanksgiving evening.

For the uninitiated, Punkin Chunkin is a yearly tradition that brings together science and engineering fanatics from all over the world to see how far they can launch a pumpkin in the air.  We're not talking sling shots either, these are highly advanced machines that can get a pumpkin to fly close to a mile!

Here's Kari explaining to Boris and Robyn what the event is all about:

Kari refused to reveal if someone actually broke the "1-mile" mark, an elusive goal of every Punkin Chunker to launch a pumpkin, in one piece, over a mile.  I guess we have to tune in on Thanksgiving night at 8pm on The Science Channel or Discovery to find out if the rumors are true and someone finally broke the record.
