Trendy Stuffed Bagel Company Officially Opens 2nd Hudson Valley Location

A Hudson Valley bagel company's much talked about 2nd location has officially opened.

Ulster County Bagel Company Goes Viral

Leftover ingredients for a New Year's Eve party helped Ali Chetkof and Jeremy Rhodes create the latest popular food trend in the Hudson Valley.

The couple, originally from Ulster County, moved back to the region from the city during the COVID pandemic. Much like most people during the lockdown, Ali and Jeremy were cooking and working their way through different cookbooks.

In 2021, Jeremy reached the bagel portion of his cookbook exploration. After making pizza for an NYE party and having way too many leftover ingredients, he decided to stuff the pizza ingredients in the bagels he was creating.

Of course, the first batch wasn't perfect but Ali tells us after a couple of practice rounds they were able to perfect the stuffed bagel. The couple then took over a vacant building in Woodstock and Moonrise Bagels was born.

Moonrise Bagels have been featured everywhere from our websites to the big time on The Today Show! And now, they have a 2nd Hudson Valley location!

Moonrise Bagels Officially Opens Dutchess County Location

In January 2024, Ali and Jeremy announced the addition of a 2nd Moonrise Bagel location.

They were planning on opening in Dutchess County in the Spring/Summer of 2024. And it looks like they were right on track.

On Saturday, July 20th, 2024 Moonrise Bagels officially opened up their 2nd location in Poughkeepsie, New York at 26 Winslow Gate Road in the Hudson Plaza across from Marist College.

Opening day was a huge success! After opening at 7 am, Moonrise Bagels Poughkeepsie was sold out by 1:45 pm.

Moonrise Bagels Poughkeepsie is open every day: Monday - Friday: 6 am - 3 pm and Saturday and Sunday: 7 am - 3 pm.
