Is New York the Worst State to Drive In?

All 50 states were recently compared to determine the best and worst states to drive. Where do you think New York will rank?

With U.S. traffic congestion costing U.S. drivers $87 billion in 2018 and the U.S. ranked 17^th in the world in road quality, Wallethub has released their report on the best and worst states to drive in for 2020.

Everyone hates being stuck in traffic. It makes you late, and causes many people’s tempers to flare up. Congestion isn’t the only concern on the road, though. People want to know that they will be driving on safe, well-maintained roads before heading out.

To determine the most driver-friendly states in the U.S. the 50 states were compared across 31 key metrics. The data set ranges from average gas prices to share of rush-hour traffic congestion to road quality.

New York was ranked 19th. Here's the breakdown:
