Hudson Valley Police Officer Charged With Identity Theft
The arrest was made following a legthy investigation.
On October, 1, 2018, State Police arrested Maxim Sander, age 28 of Middletown, N.Y. following a lengthy identity theft investigation.
The investigation determined that Sander purchased merchandise and services using a stolen credit card information.
Sander is currently employed as a police officer in both Towns of Mount Hope and Wallkill.
Sander was charged Identity Theft second-degree, felony. He was additionally charged Sceme to Defraud second-degree, and Petit Larceny.
Sander was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Wallkill Court. Additional arrests are expected in this case.
The Orange County District Attorney's Office assisted with the investigation.
