Hudson Valley Last Night Things to Do
If you are looking for something to do Monday night to say Goodbye to 2018 and Hello to 2019 think about staying local and heading to Saugerties or Kingston.
Once again Saugerties is hosting the Annual Saugerties New Year's Eve in the Village. Enjoy ringing in the New Year with entertainment on a Main Street stage from 10:30 to 12:30am. Their will be music, a countdown and even a ball drop. Local restaurants and bars will be getting in on the fun include local favorite The Dutch. There will be street closures starting at 10 pm thru 1 am. For information contact the Village of Saugeties at 845-246-2321.
If Kingston is closer to home then you will want to check out what the City has to offer for the last night of 2018. Head to Uptown Kingston for Fireworks and a festive year end celebration. The celebration will be held at the corner of Wall and Front Streets in Kingston. Word is that it can get a bit cold standing on the corner to watch the fireworks but once they are done you can enjoy the rest of the New Year at one of the many uptown businesses looking forward to being your first place to be in 2019.
Another great way to spend the New Year Eve is at home with friends watching your favorite New Year's celebration on TV so that at 12:01 AM jammies and bed are just a few feet away. That will have up and ready for any New Year's day hikes or polar plunges you plan to take part in on New Year's Day.
