2014 was one of the most successful seasons that Hudson Valley football has seen in years!  Two Dutchess County teams playing for the Section 1 Class AA Championship, usually reserved for the likes of New Rochelle and North Rockland. And Newburgh and Chester both made it all the way to Syracuse and the Carrier Dome, representing Section Nine.

It was a great year of football that officially came to a close after the Class AA Championship was decided on Saturday. Jamestown beat Newburgh 41-20.

Goldback's senior running back Anthony Dubose rushed for 259 yards and a touchdown in his final game at Newburgh, but it wasn’t enough to overcome three turnovers and the clock issue at the end of the first half.

So we look back at many of the explosive and dynamic plays of 2014 with representation from Newburgh, John Jay, Arlington, FDR, Poughkeepsie, Marlboro, Lourdes, Carmel, Mahopac, and others. Thanks for the memories and the highlights!
