Your cup of Dunkin' will never be the same again.

There's something ritualistic about that morning cup of coffee at Dunkin' Donuts. No matter what the day, weather or mood you can always depend on that consistent cup of joe. For some, it's the one thing that gets them out of bed in the morning.

But old timers in the Hudson Valley that hate any sort of change (you know who you are because you all follow us on Facebook) should be prepared for a whole new coffee experience from Dunkin'.

The company announced yesterday that they will be getting rid of their iconic Styrofoam cups. For years, Dunkin' has been the last hold out as other fast food chains ditched the Styrofoam for more eco-friendly packaging. Loyal Dunkin' customers loved the way the cups insulated the drink, keeping it piping hot in all sorts of weather.

Especially here in the Hudson Valley, coffee drinkers that work outdoors in the winter or travel long distances with their morning joe are going to have to come up with another way to keep things hot. CNN reports that Dunkin' will begin to phase out the cups this year and completely eliminate them by 2020.

What do you think about the change? Will the benefits to the environment be worth the inconvenience or will you be upset to say farewell to those Styrofoam cups?  Let us know what you think in the comments section below or on our Facebook page.
