
Dorm Room Catches Fire at Dutchess County College
Members from multiple fire departments in Dutchess County responded quickly and avoided what could have been a far worse situation at a Dutchess County College.
On Sunday night, at approximately 10:00 p.m. the Tivoli Fire Department was dispatched to a dorm room fire at Bard College.
Members of the Tivoli and Redhook Fire Departments were able to make a quick entry and contain the fire to only one room.
Members from all departments worked on clearing the heavy smoke condition from the remainder of the building.
Members from the Rhinebeck Fire Department, Clermont Fire Company,Milan Volunteer Fire Department, Hillside Fire Department, and multiple police agencies assisted in the containment of the fire.
