Coyote Who Attacked Mother and Son in Northern New Jersey Killed
A scary incident unfolded Thursday evening in Northern New Jersey. Police say a coyote followed and then attacked a 37 year-old mother and her 4 year-old son who were out for a walk.
NorthJersey.com says both the mother and son suffered only minor injuries before onlookers chased the animal away. Sergeant Frank Tracey.lead police, as they blocked off the park near the Fairfield Community Pool to search for the animal. NJ.com says Frank at first saw a cat, but then saw the coyote coming up from behind. Frank then fired several shots and killed the animal.
NJ.com says the Humane Society took the animal's body to test it for rabies.
