It was 46 years ago in Bethel, New York.  I'm talking about the Woodstock Festival in 1969.  And every year, people gather to celebrate Woodstock.  This year is no different.  Not only will there be a celebration, it will help Sullivan County residents in need.  Strangers Helping Strangers, a national non profit group that conducts food drives during concerts and festivals will be part of the Yasgur Road reunion this year.

The Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless will partner with Strangers Helping Strangers to distribute food collected at the reunion, August 14-16 at Yasgur's Farm in Bethel to help Sullivan County residents in need.  The Sullivan County Federation for the Homeless operates the only soup kitchen in Sullivan County, serving breakfast and lunch five days a week to local residents. It also runs a food pantry twice a month and an emergency 24/7 food pantry for individuals in need.

So, celebrate in the real spirit of Woodtock...with peace, love, and compassion. For more info, shstrangers.com, scfederation.org.  For nformation about the reunion, visit yasgurroadproductions.com.
