Arctic Blast Expected to Bring Record Breaking Cold to the Hudson

An arctic blast is set to hit the Hudson Valley for the week of November 11, 2019, that could bring record-breaking cold temperatures.

USA Today reports that an arctic blast is going to bring extremely cold temperatures across the U.S. So cold, that it's expected to break 170 daily cold records across the country. The cold will begin on Monday, November 11 and go through Wednesday, November 13. It should go through the northern Plains, northern Midwest, Ohio Valley, the Deep South, and the East Coast. The Hudson Valley is included in the East Coast sweep.

According to USA Today, temperatures in the East Coast and Hudson Valley could feel five to ten degrees below normal for this time of year. In addition to the potential record-breaking cold, the Hudson Valley could see snow on Tuesday, November 12. We reported previously that rain showers could develop around 2 a.m. on Tuesday and turn to snow between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m.
