Angry DMV Customer Leads to Police Call
The man allegedly stated that he was 'worse than a preschool shooter', while he threatened and alarmed people at a Hudson Valley DMV.
On June 18, 2018, at approximately 9:10 a.m. state police were dispatched to the Department of Motor Vehicles on Marshall Road in the Village of Wappingers Falls for a report of a man with a gun.
An investigation revealed that Barry A. Gutierrez, 28, of Wappingers, was acting in a disruptive manner, alarming people at the DMV by implying that he was in possession of a gun.
Gutierrez was also alleged to have stated he was worse than a preschool shooter.
He was arrested and charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a class D felony, and Menacing.
Gutierrez was arraigned in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, or $100,000 bond.
He is scheduled to return to court this week.
